They are going to miss Hammer massively this year The Hammer the Hawks had from 2010-2015? No doubt about it. Hammer going forward, from 2017 on? I'm not so sure. He looked like he really hit a wall last season. This might be the trade they SHOULD have made with Seabrook before he hit a wall. We will see how he looks this season. Seabrook also started to take a shit around 30....

Franson is adequate, I don't have a problem with him on the Hawks' blueline. And he's a lot better than the other options back there.

Forsling hasn't improved.

I thought Franson played well and his shot gives them another option on the PP, other than Kieth.
Forsling doesn't look like he's improved at all. However, Ruuta stuck out from the first game in CBJ. He's solid positionally, and for his size, he can skate well.
