The "Rivalry" aspect maybe spurs the vets on to play better than they have been, but I doubt it makes a difference. 5-1 Nashville.

Doesn't really matter. Against the Predators, even if the Hawks play their absolute best, they'll be handily beaten.
Just a shit roster, against a very good team.

The Predators third pairing on defense is arguably on par with the Hawks d-pairing #1. That pretty much says it all.
When the team is drafting late year after year, every bad deal with young players going the other way has far-reaching impact.
Have to wonder (1) how is Duncan Keith going to feel next year when Connor Murphy is paid more than he is (and this year that Seabrook is paid more) and (2) how much longer are #s 88 and 19 going to want to slog through this rebuild if they do not see a competitive team before father time starts to knock on their door?

Preds feast in 6-1 win over pitiful Hawks. Not to fret Hawks fans....McD & Stun believe this Hawk team is bound for the playoffs.

Hawks were better in the first, just sloppy right at the end. But they got it back in the second and shocked the world by scoring on the PP.
