Caps get some life, but Orlov says "fuck winning today" and just throws the puck in his own net the very next shift and it's 3-1.

This has to be a product of the Blood Moon/Full Wolf Moon/whatever the fuck is happening today in some places.

Caps starting to push the Hawks around physically.
For a 31st place team there is no reason not to dress some muscle.

Delia makes amazing saves but he let's in 2 Huet style crap goals . Caps have seem disinterested so far but 4-2 they are much alive after 2 periods.

Delia has let in 2 of the worst goals I have ever seen...hes not an NHL starter if you want to compete for anything other than a lottery pick.
Fortunately the Caps are mired in an ugly slump and playing to lose today.

Yeah the misses were horrid but he's made a few miracle stops too. Considering his workload in terms of shots this season, I can be a little more forgiving than Jim...he could be a decent backup type, I think.

Helluva shot on the third goal but I think a lot of goalies are out a bit more and have their glove a bit higher...and probably make that save.

Copley should have had that one too, so the last two goals are a wash.

LOL the Hawks are so going to lose. No lead is safe with this team. Well they tried to lose but The 19 & 88 combo turned out to be a good move. Entertaining game now on to The NFL

I think even Anton Forsberg would have been able to win this game.
I don't mind playing Delia though. Give him a long enough stint, so when he gets dumped there is certainty that for sure there was nothing special.
Toews and Kane played great. I don't think the Hawks defense was particularly terrible either, if you look at the goals scored.
Caps defense, however, stank.

Other teams have their book on Delia now...down early trying to see the puck, shoot high corners. He can't see through the screens and there's a lot of room up there.
The kid is ok, but now until the end of the year is when we will see if he has NHL chops or if his weaknesses are too easily exploited.

I'm not hating Delia - he can be a backup at this level. But nothing in him, to me, screams "NHL starter". Or at least there's another very big step he needs to take. I think it's more likely the Hawks will find a future starter somewhere else by the time they are competitive again.

Another shitty team, the Kings, they already have their future starter. Jack Campbell is definitely a keeper.
I don't see playoffs in either team's near future, but it will be interesting to see which of these former Western Conference powerhouse teams turns things around first.
