That way Stan & McD can say no change is necessary and their only mistake was not firing Q sooner, and that next season things will be different and it's a promise, no, a GUARANTEE, Hawks will be a contender from now on! 6th from last means facing reality and admitting there's ways to go. |

Hawks gave up that weekend late February when they lost 2 games at home to Avs and Stars. They now have a dismal 16-14-7 Home ice record which is disgraceful considering teams used to dread coming to the UC. Game on NBCSN.

Even though I still believe it was time to part ways with Q, the argument that the team would have made the playoffs and was really a serious contender if they'd have changed coaches this summer carries about as much weight as the pro-Q argument that if he had Murphy, Strome and Caggiula sans Manning he also would have achieved a different result. So they had a great power play turnaround....until it mattered. Both are b.s. Personally I've enjoyed watching this roster perform better than the one that started the season. Still, the past two weeks shows how far they still have to go. And a hearty LOL on the recent 2019 Mock Draft I saw. The Hawks with the 10th pick, take a less than 6 foot Swedish defenseman. You can probably bank on it. |

Biased officiating. Keith trips MacKinnon, then scores at the other end. first time in as long as i can remember that i thought the hawks deserved a bunch of calls they didnt get. toews tripped in 1st and several interference/picks. hawks battled were for long stretches better team.... whoopie. |
