Man buys coffee. Costs 8 marks. Pays with a thousand mark note. Gets 2 marks back. Man doesn't really complain. Just acknowledges he paid with a thousand mark note.

How are people thinking the hawks can win this series?
Hawks are way too old and slow for starters...oil also have much more in the way of grit.

any idea how they figured this? are they using a bunch of players who might be on the roster, but will not play?
Id like to see every team's 20 man roster.

Here's another one, this one using each teams 20 projected starters. I cut and pasted because the original site, the Athletic is a pay site.
Average age of the 20 projected starters Columbus 25.1 New York Rangers 26.1 Chicago 26.4 Winnipeg 26.5 Toronto 26.7 Montreal 26.9 Colorado 27.0 Calgary 27.0 Carolina 27.1 Vancouver 27.4 Edmonton 27.5 Florida 27.5 Philadelphia 27.9 Tampa Bay 28.0 Arizona 28.0 St. Louis 28.0 Vegas 28.4 Boston 28.5 Pittsburgh 28.6 Minnesota 28.6 New York Islanders 28.7 Nashville 29.0 Dallas 29.2 Washington 29.2

So based on the age chart, we'll plug in some new words.... How are people thinking the hawks can win this series? Hawks are way too soft and afraid of their shadow in their own zone for starters...oil also have much more in the way of grit.

I'd pick the Oilers too but let's not pretend they are a juggernaut. Their forward depth, overall D/G is subpar. The Hawks have a decent chance of winning IMO.

Bettman will make sure the Hawks make a deep run.

Oil have superior top end and secondary scoring. Oil have better speed. They are bigger and grittier. Both teams are a train wreck on D and in G. I am certainly not saying Edm are any sort of juggernaut...they are beatable. I am just not convinced the hawks have any business beating anybody. Do we know the status of Toews, Matta and Murphy?
