Figures that Hawkdad makes an appearance when the topic of Prince Alberts comes up.

If teams like Vegas and Tampa end up hopelessly behind in games when the season is near it's end, expect the NHL to go to a win percentage system to help get them in. Not like they likely won't deserve to be there anyways, but if "good" teams are on the outside looking in because they haven't played enough games, that can't happen.

Not like they likely won't deserve to be there anyways, but if "good" teams are on the outside looking in because they haven't played enough games, that can't happen. I thought this same thing earlier. It makes sense in these "unprecedented times".

Not like they likely won't deserve to be there anyways, but if "good" teams are on the outside looking in because they haven't played enough games, that can't happen. Just let everyone into the playoffs. Have a few rounds of win or go home games and then start the series matchups.

Lol I'm sure it's being considered, but I doubt the league wants Tampa or Vegas (for example) stuck in a "one and done" type of scenario. That's better saved for the Chicagos and Detoilets of the world.

Beaudin and Ryan carpenter added to the list today, plus practice cancelled “out of an abundance of caution”.

Was that why Carpenter missed out on that wide open net in the third period?
