Columbus should be embarrassed to lose to a severely undermanned Hawks team.
Lankinen should continue to be the go to guy in net for the rest of the season, there is nothing to be gained from splitting out time between 3 G’s.

He played as well as any other cast off. Hagel is greasy but isnt gonna put pucks in or near net. Same with kampf. Kyle reese... johnson played as well as highmore. Maybe its cause he hit people got me in the mood. I like Hagel some, always moving. Might score filling in on top6.

He's had a great start, but it's a little early to proclaim him the go to guy for the season. As is often the case with rookies, the wheels could fall off at any time. I will say though, that his positioning is very good and he looks pretty calm in there.

It is not like the play in front of Lankinen has been stellar either. He has made some strong saves to keep the team in some of his games, no question.
If you are going to suck, they should be erring on the the side of playing younger guys that are a pain in the ass to play against mixed in with some vets who also show the work ethic. I also like Hagel.
I did find it ironic that "play the kids" went away quickly. I don't think Carlsson saw even a 1/3 of a period the entire game while Zadorov played over 20 but he sure didn't look like his play warranted it (I do like his hitting though).
Let Kurashev pile up some points with Kane and build some confidence. Short sample size, but right now it isn't close: Kurashev > Nylander.

I just don’t see much to gain if Colliton tries to spread out starts between 2-3 goalies throughout the year. Let’s see if Lankinen has anything here.

Subban played ok his last time in,so he could play another game or two here and there...and besides, the FB page for Committed Indians will tell me I'm a bully and racist if I dismiss Malcolm so early.

Only reason to give Zadarov minutes right now is due to either showcasing him as a RFA to flip or the brand of vodka he drinks provides COVID immunity so he won’t end in quarantine.

Subban will get some starts. Can't start Lankinen every game. If either falters, Delia will get another look. Subban makes every save look like a big save, mostly because he's often out of position and scrambling to get in front of the puck. Delia just looks in way over his head.

Subbam and Delia are absolute crap.
Lankinem is providing a little hope.
Let's see how he looks against actual competition this week.
