Save for one single super important game a few Junes ago, By my memory the Hawks largely blow chunks when they go to Boston, even when they were a good team.
Boston is a good team this year. The Hawks are not. This could get exceptionally ugly, early.
Boston being without Bergeron, Backes, and McAvoy helps the Hawks, a lot. But probably not nearly enough.
Boston 6 Hawks 2.

I remember when this would have been a HUGE series and it should be but it's just another original 6 match up weekend with one team that's on it's way to a possible Cup Finals vs. another team that has their golf bags at the ready.

Injuries have actually depleted the B's lineup quite badly. Look at them:
Marchand - Riley Nash - Pastrnak DeBrusk - Krejci - Rick Nash Danton Heinen - Wingels - Gionta Tim Schaller - Sean Kuraly - Noel Acciari
That doesn't look like a very scary forward group. When your third line has Wingels, a 39-year-old Brian Gionta and a rookie picked in the 4th round, you should not be contending for a championship.
And Riley Nash centering your top line? I think I'll take Anisimov over him, thank you very much.
Chara - Brandon Carlo Krug - McQuaid Matt Grzelcyk - Kevan Miller
Aside from the big Z, that's a young d-group. "Gredzo" is a 5'9" Boston University player. I bet Stan wanted to draft him. Who knows how good these kids are.
Rask of course can win this game, but on paper I don't see anything the Hawks couldn't overcome.
Cassidy is getting the most out of his players though. You can expect a 100% effort. So that's pretty much the opposite of what Q has done for the Hawks this season.
Still, I feel there's a chance. I'll go against the grain: Hawks win 3-1. Berube with 30 saves and 1st star.

The biggest obstacle the Hawks have to overcome is themselves.

Hinostroza has a family thing to tend to, so he won't be in Boston. Hayden returns to the lineup as an emergency call-up.

Marchand clotheslines Duclair. And on the ensuing PP the B's score shorthanded...
