A team checked out on the coaching staff will often look much, much worse than they actually are. I will reserve judgement until I see these guys with a new voice, and NHL caliber goaltending.
If Q is back next season, I flat out won't watch.

5-2 to Van on home ice. Don’t care if you’re tanking, with the pride I thought existed in this room, just abominable.

Good night for the TANK. Oil Can won so the Hawks sit now with the 7th worst record in the league. Yes!

What an embarrassment.
The only positive I can think of is that this was one of those rare games where they didn't blow a lead...

How can these goalies be that bad? In The NFL it's easy to fix a poor season via Free Agency and The Draft. Can you do that in The NHL? Draft picks take years or if not at all to develop and Free Agency isn't as fluid as football.

Draft picks take years or if not at all to develop and Free Agency isn't as fluid as football. You need a new Kane, a new Toews and a new Keith. You can maybe get a veteran similar to Marian Hossa from free agency, but if you want the next Keith, Toews or Kane, you need to draft them yourself. You could maybe try a shortcut and trade the current Kane for the next Kane, but with prospects there's always the chance you end up with the next Pavel Vorobiev instead of the next Patrick Kane.

Kane is the last guy that would get moved. McCub would never allow it. Same with Toews probably, although a few more years of not earning his money might loosen McCub's grip on the marketability thing.
Crow's issues are huge and a catch 22...can't win without him with a lineup looking like this (and it'll probably be very similar next season), but he is also your most likely trade asset to try and improve your lot currently. Yet without a goalie that can play out of his mind the team is doomed even with improvements in other areas.
Of course is another year like Crow was having before his brain/liver went to mush in the offing? Well if he can't play to show that it is you can't move him anyways. And if he does play and is that good again, how can you move him?
Gotta get a quality backup in the off-season and take it from there I guess.
Right now with the Hawks there is no simple fix. Thanks Stun.

You can be sure Stan is in Estonia right now, scouting D & G prospects!

Kane is the last guy that would get moved. He is also the only current Hawk another team might consider moving a blue-chip-franchise-player-prospect for. Like how the Flames acquired Iginla by trading away Nieuwendyk.

Yeah I understand that. But I have a hard time thinking Stun (or a new GM please please please) would be able to get approval for a trade like that from McCub and Rocky unless Kane's offense fell off a cliff in which case you aren't getting a good return anyway.
Maybe I am wrong but Marketing around Toews and Kane will keep them in Chicago well past their expiry date in my mind (JT is likely already there).

If you beleive the team is in serious trouble for the foreseeable future, trading Kane is the move you make. How likely is Kane to still be worth his contract in 4 years?
If you think you can squeeze a little more juice out of this core and make another run at a cup, that you think you can just re-tool and hope Crawford helps address a lot of the woes from this past season, then trading him would be a mistake.
I'm in that first camp.

It's an option that should be at least considered, but (a) not with Stan making that deal, and (b) I really believe that McCub would block that idea.
Is it too much to ask McCub to block that move until a new/different GM will be attempting to construct a deal for Kane at least? lol
