Be wary when wearing your Hawks gear in Philly. You'd think the Hawks were in the Flyers division, though it was right after the first Cup. Took more verbal abuse there than anywhere else. Old Nassau is/was a dump, but even that is far superior to where the Islanders are now. The fans didn't follow. isles are back in nassau. and to echo the philly sentiment. city is a vile place when it comes to sports. the city loves to live up to the tough guy throw rocks at santa image. i skipped going to game 6 in 2010 cuz i was scared to take my 68 year old dad. (they would have lost then so youre all welcome) i still wear my jersey, n dont let the idiots bother me. there is legit 0 besides xfinity live in a mile. so in summation fuck philly. idk what your plan is sbhawks, where your staying etc maybe i could throw some suggestions out on where to go. When we went to the game in Philly both of my sons were dressed to the hilt in their Hawks gear in winter 2011. And they are tall, so of course are not hard to spot. It was Shaw's first game, and I think he came up one short of a Gordie Howe hat trick (missed the assist). After the game (which the Hawks lost), on the way out a cadre of inebriated fans changed their exit point when they spotted us while sharing their verbal love all the way through to the parking lot. Until one other Philly fan finally stepped in saying - "hey Chicago, you want to shut these guys up, just remind them what happened the last time the Hawks were at this stadium." Same thing at a Phillies-Cubs game.

Not planning on wearing Hawks gear in Philly as I was already thinking about repercussions some of you mentioned earlier. Just visiting some family in the area and it just so happened to work our the game was that Saturday.

Boston used to be a near auto-losstoo, not sure about recently outside of the Cup win.

Well Ventre is the jewel of the NHL...it is comfortable and clean and bright with excellent amenities and sightlines. I have been to about 30 drinks, so I cant go into then all. Buffalo is honestly a great experience...rink is nothing special but always a great time... Nashville is q hoot, it the rink is a large garden shed... Was actually impressed with building in Columbus...nightlife is fantastic. Calgary is a dump...vancouver dark and dingy and full of Canucks fan (but great city). SJ...rink is a cookie cutter and nightlife absolutely sucks, but fans are nuts...intense atmosphere Buffalo is a great time because you and I get shit-canned before and during dominant Hawks wins and then hit the Sundowner on the way home....
