They've figured that last year wasn't an off year maybe? That how he is now is actually how he's gonna be?
He played fairly lousy in Columbus too as I recall, at least in spurts. Torts demoted him more than once.

Maybe he had something going on with his health. I mean, Bickell looked progressively worse for a few years until he was diagnosed.
And maybe he worked hard enough to earn a decent contract and decided "fuck it, I got paid". Happens sometimes I would guess.

He has lost his drive. And is now just a 30pt scorer. And that was him playing 82 games on the top line with Toews. That point total was flattering his actual performance.
Saad needs to remove his head from his ass and show us why he thinks he is worth $6m. That means getting involved in the defensive zone, and sometimes burying his chances in the offensive zone. He's also not a weakling, so he should go to the net like he did early on last season. It's so frustrating when you know he has the ability to be a 2-way force, but he can't or won't put in the effort. Does he have MS?

Even when he was rolling earlier in his career, he was always pretty streaky (Patrick Sharp streaky) with his scoring. When you don't do much in the tough areas and don't take advantage of breakaways, it is hard to break scoring slumps.
I think he is going to snap out of it. Probably not tonight.

I always thought Saad being around Hoss would've positively affected him....Not so much. Any word on him giving up meat?

Marian has been kicking it back in the old country since he "retired".

Looks like Hossa and Toews carried him...

Ouch. Saad was stapled to the bench in OT tonight too.
Basically what a fucking awful trade by Stun to bring this turd back to Chicago.

After being threatened with the press box and a game on the fourth line, Saad seems to be playing better. Definitely getting to the dirty areas more.

He was more noticeable (in a goo0d way) in the CBJ game, as well.
