Dirty play by Rizzo. I can't believe Maddon defended that shitty slide. He needs to be suspended for that crap. Yah, I forgot you heart Active sticks too. Nothing wrong with that play according to the book. Of course, they 'pussied' baseball too, so.........

Yet again, leave it up to old man Dad to talk a Cub fan off the ledge here. stb, you guys will be just fine. No need to sweat out games over the summer, your team is plenty good enough as constructed to get an invite to the playoff dance come fall. Who in that division scares you at all ? that's what I thought, nobody. Milwaukee ? please. Those guys wet themselves when Chicago comes up on the schedule. And don't think that Theo doesn't know already that this team may need a boost come trade time with his eyes on adding whatever it takes to get back to the WS. You watch, he will add a couple of pieces to make them better. Now what happens come October may be a different story, you never know what LA/AZ/WASH/ or whoever else makes it will loom like, a hot team can go on a run then, but I GUARANTEE that your boys will be a part of the picture. Just Milwaukee, but even looking at the rest of the NL I don’t like how they stack up with anyone right now, especially with only 2 reliable starters and three other question marks that’d I’d cringe at starting a playoff game right now. They will be in the picture, no doubt, but I don’t think they have any shot of doing much damage, and god forbid they manage to make it out of the NL, the AL right now is even more lights out, even with Cleveland struggling right now.

Don't forget about the mighty White Sox. They are just in a slump soon to break out of it. In fact, they need Hawkdad to go on a YUUUUGGEEEEE slump buster. 10 guys, 1 night.

It's not like the Cubs didn't offer Arrieta the same term.. Bad luck about Darvish, though I didn't agree with his signing, what can you do?
Believe in Theo.

I mean who could’ve predicted a mentally weak player wouldn’t adjust well to a place like Wrigley Field, where over half the crowd is drunk and ready to turn on an underperforming player at the drop of a hat (myself included!).
It is hard to blame Theo on Jake when they allegedly made the same offer to him and he ends up taking less in the end.
The Darvish and Chatwood signings have looked awful thus far though.

White Sox on off days are like the Gremans bombing Pearl Harbor. 1.000 winning percentage.

White Sox dominating the off days. I feel like they're close. These off day wins are really building the confidence of the factory workers they have batting 4-9 lately.

I'm a big proponent of Japs and have many Nip friends. The North Siders are very tolerant of all races which is just white people. These accusations are completely untrue, your honor!
