Series is over, can’t win when your hitters would basically swing at a pickoff attempt right now. Even though they are not hitting, that Bullpen is gasoline on the fire.

Theo has a lot of work for himself in the offseason.
Other than CJ Edwards, is there anyone in the bullpen worth keeping? Wade Davis is a FA and will expensive and is kinda old. If they weren't willing to pay Chapman, why would they pay top dollar for Davis?
John Lackey needs to be taken out back and put out of his misery. Turrible.
You have to unload one of the prized "core" pieces in Schwarber, Russell, or Baez. Schwarber is a DH so let's make it so.
The fact the Dodgers bent the Cubs over a rail and jammed their Magic Johnson HIV dicks in their asses repeatedly doesn't make me that upset. For one, who doesn't enjoy a nice showing of sodomy from time to time? Second, it is now legal to knowingly give someone AIDs in Los Angeles. Third, the Cubs blew their wad in the 2nd half of the season just to make the dance. The hunger just wasn't there because that's what winning a World Series does. I think the Cubs were the 1st team out of the last 7 or 8 that actually made it back to the playoffs. Having said that, that Quintana trade was a major blunder for Theo. He of all people should know that you have to pick your spots and coming off a WS victory is not the time to do that. Statistically speaking, you're more likely to see Gary taking a dump without the aid of Metamucil than a team going back to back in this era of MLB.

Edwards is a 7th inning guy at best until he learns how to throw strikes consistently. They need Wilson to rediscover what made him great in Detroit. If I’m trading anyone in that young core it’s Schwarber. Find another dependable bat you can plug in left that will hit over .210, considering the other corner OF is an automatic out. That being said it’s amazing they even made it to another LCS this year. They clearly lacked the drive and focus all year and it was noticeable.

Schwarber belongs in the AL...not in the field.

I think that is the end of the toothpick destroyer as a MLB manager. Basically 70s year old and failed yet again to get a team stacked with talent over the hump. To the dustbin of history, Dusty, you go.

Only reason why you don't trade Schwarber now is because you would be selling low like very low. Who's idea was to make this guy into a leadoff hitter anyway? Totally wasted a year of Kyle per-arbitration years. Would the same people that moved Kyle Long to tackle a couple seasons ago be the same ones running the Cubs by chance? In all, what the Cubs did with Kyle would be no different than trying to turn Jim cisgender. Some things just aren't meant to be.

I was an advocate for trading Schwarber after last year. Just about no chance he lived back up to that, and his value had to be sky-high.

Nice win for the Astros. Going back home where they have been dominant and can wrap it up with 3 straight.
