Dodgers will be hard pressed to even make the playoffs this year. Ownership could no longer swallow the huge luxury tax bills anymore so their team is what it is for the foreseeable future except not as good when they were spending 250 million on salary. Dodgers' window is just about closed.

And I repeat....this dude sucks. Kenley Jansen has pitched in three games since returning from the disabled list. He has two losses and a blown save, allowing at least one home run in all three games, easily the worst stretch of his career. Who told you to be a Dodgers fan?

Dodgers' window is just about closed. Uh, the Dodgers make $344 million a YEAR from their local TV deal. They probably net about $200 million in revenue last year. They can afford that luxery tax...

Except they decided to cut a ton of salary this last offseason to get under the threshold. It might only be a temporary measure to reset the punitive tax clock though.

And yeah...Living with Cubs fans and seeing their faces every time Lee Smith blows a save will do that to ya.

I learned a lot of swear words watching Cubs games over the years.

The good news is that the White Sox still have a 0.1 % chance of making the playoffs.

Yankees did the same thing. Both teams trying to reset the luxury tax clock before Machado, Harper, Kershaw et al become free agents this offseason.

The team that ends up with Harper will be making a colossal mistake.

The team that ends up with Harper will be making a colossal mistake. I agree. Unless Harper has some type of correctable Eye issue, he's not worth it.

The reality is that when you get rid of Dusty Baker you should get better not worse. That's a big red flag. I'm running away as fast as I can.

I think you guys are just jealous that he has great hair.
He's been awfully defensively this year, but his offensive numbers are good. Not $35 million a year good, but he's still only 25 & presumably should still be getting better.
