Injuries must really be hampering him, at least I hope they are, because he swings like a total pussy now and most of last year.

I'd trade Russell and re-sign Murphy. Move Baez to full-time SS. Murph's bat is just too good to pass up. Zobrist will be a free agent after next season if I remember correctly so the Cubs can manage the money for a season.

White Sox Kopech Tommy John already. If you're gonna have a bad season as a franchise, you might as well get all of it out. Next, Hawkdad will be come out as a closet Cubs fan.

Worst part is, the kid is eating up his controllable years on the DL. They should've kept him down until next April like Eloy and his clock wouldn't be ticking yet.

Time to start thinking about the wild card game, the division is Milwaukee’s this year and they have earned it.
Cubs are running on fumes with a punchless offense and overworked bullpen. Some big changes are needed for 2019 with both those facets.
Almora and Happ are a disaster at the plate (how good would Lorenzo Cain have looked at the top?), Contreras and Russell look finished as big leaguers, and Schwarber cannot be depended on full-time.
Theo and Jed have really shit the bed on almost all of their moves post 2016.

Read something that the Cubs haven't had an off day for 30 days now. They are gassed for sure mentally and physically.

Strop likely lost for the season though in the process.

Maples, Garcia, and De La Rosa.
Is that a law firm or the Cubs bullpen?
