Rizzo, Bryant and Baez numbers on paper all look good, but for some reason on the surface they haven’t seemed anywhere near that impactful. Also in the rotation you now have Quintana and Darvish leading the charge over the regulars. Odd season to say the least. Lester/Hamels are getting older...Hamels deal is up after the season...

Took my son and 2 grandsons to The Little League World Series. Highly recommended. A very enjoyable place! Hey Gary free parking and admission, right up your alley. Are you saying I'm overly thrifty??? Just a hunch? But I'm the same way. I'm practical with my $$$. and free is usually good.

Not sure if anyone remembers, but the Cubs officially ended the Brendan Morrow experiment when they shut him down for the rest of this year. Morrow hasn’t pitched since before last year’s All-Star break. Morrow earned a cool 21 million over his two years with the club and pitched less than 6 months. Good work if you can get it. Cubs hold a team option for next year and they aren’t gonna pick that up. Morrow will likely retire anyway.
Wade Davis is pitching but I think I would rather have Morrow on the shelf since Wade is sporting a spectacular 7.3 ERA this season. Pretty good bargain at 15 million a year for the Rockies.

Final 3 weeks of the season with the Flubs 1.5 up for 2nd WC and 4.5 back of the Cards.
I do not see them even making the WC game at this point, and honestly don’t want to, as it’s a choice of getting blasted in DC or squeaking out a win and going to LA and getting blasted in 3.
Joe will be gone after this season and it’s worth seeing what you can get for Bryant, he has not been the same player since 2016. They should’ve retooled after choking in 2018, but I guess they’ll have all of this winter to sort things out.
Lord knows they’ll need it now that the Ricketts want the fans to shell out $10-$15/month to watch this train wreck next year.

Perhaps Russell, Almora, Hayward (ya right), Hamels, Morrow, Strop, etc. will go.

what's the last part some type of cubs tv ppv network? They struck a deal with Sinclair Broadcasting for their own network starting next season. Now a monthly subscription for fans going forward.

With the injuries to Baez/Russell, Cubs are promoting Nico Hoerner from Double-A. Cubs 1st pick in 2018 draft.

Should have fired Maddon months ago. Things are going back to normal in the universe though. Loveable losers.

Not a single pitcher worth anything on the big club was developed through the system on his watch. That’s a recipe for what you see right now. Window has closed so it’s time to start selling off pieces and rebuilding. Need to start stacking top 5 picks in the draft again.
