Lari, You are full of unknown facts. And in Finland, wasn't it more like a stick knocking a sheeps skull around??? I don't know but the Finnish version was invented by a nazi. You bunch of collaborators.

I wouldn’t want to be seen in public with anyone here. Now, if we are talking pubic, I might be interested depending. So the choice is see a major league game at 10 am in 130 degree heat, and see you and your he-she date in her shorts and a Jofa? Or stay home and not watch at all ? Gee that’s a tough choice. Nobody is making fun of your he/she
well...except us...

Apparently baseball started. Professor Hendricks mowing them down, and already in contention for the Cy Young with 59 to play. Didn’t realize DH is now in NL. At least Schwarber won’t have to see LF ever again. Heyward still can’t hit.

A clown car team that peaked in 2016 and will ride the coattails of that WS forever.
If you think the hitting is bad just look at that god awful bullpen.

Bryant might want to do something at the plate if he thinks he’s gonna get paid.

One series does not make a COVID-shortened season, but there are some things to be encouraged about so far. To say the bullpen is uneven is an understatement, but the Cubs look like they have come to hit. Ian Happ looks dialed in and like last year was the aberration. Chatwood actually looked like a starting pitcher. It is nice also not to have to wonder what bone-headed move sweet Joe would make to hurt the team. So far so good.
That said, the Brewers lineup is woeful on paper and otherwise. The Reds will be a different story.

Hopefully somebody is tracking to determine how so many Marlins players and coaches contracted it at one time. That kind of information should be available for all the teams in all sports and the general population. The only good out of it is to learn from it so it doesn't happen again. We are consistently hearing too little about what is going on with all of this. 24/7 news is no longer about actual news - it is 100% agenda and about 1% useful information.
Meanwhile the Cubs win again. Hopefully that is just cobwebs on Kimbrel. If not, this will be a short-lived rebound.

Epstein should be fired today for his inability to get pitching through the draft. He’s been here since 2011 and I think this Underwood kid is the only time I can think of a pitching draft pick making the show. That’s embarrassing in nearly 10 years.

Epstein should be fired today for his inability to get pitching through the draft. He’s been here since 2011 and I think this Underwood kid is the only time I can think of a pitching draft pick making the show. That’s embarrassing in nearly 10 years. That is why the Cubs were one and done. You can't win without a pitching pipeline, and you're right, literally the Cubs had none before he arrived and had none as of 2016 when they won. They had to deal a bunch of Grade A prospects to stay playoff relevant and that wasn't enough. Meanwhile the Cardinals and Rays, among others, continue to bring up young pitchers pretty much every season. The Cubbies will have no choice now - they will have to improve in that area because Ricketts blank check book is a thing of the past. It is a double positive - the more young arms they have coming up, the less chance they will overpay stupid money for free agents only to be burned. Given his history, I still can't believe they shelled out that kind of money and term for Brandon Morrow. They finally made some scouting changes last year. Let's see what happens this year and next.

I understand the concept of not taking pitching in the 1st given those arms have likely already been abused. Nonetheless, most pitching is found throughout the draft so for the Cubs to have not a single hit in all this time speaks volumes. It’s not like the Cards and Rays have 10 first round picks every year.

At this rate, Morrow will be back with the Cubs given the crap they are trotting out there right now. I believe he is on a minor league deal right now.

Hopefully Chatwood will finally earn his pay day this year. Yu probably will never earn his. Or Heyward. Or Kimbrel. If Theo moves on it will be the overpays that are the reason...
