How about leaving in his starter after 105 pitches in gm one to give yup a 3 run dinger?

Conversely, Renteria takes Sox starter out after 15 pitches....Masterful use of pitchers on both sides of town.

Sounds like Theo already has one foot out the door. I say fire him yesterday. Zero pitching developed in his entire tenure. Inexcusable.

Yep. The key to longevity at the top is a strong scouting and development system for pitching. Theo absolutely deserves credit for 2016. But you can only stay there if you are developing pitchers (ala Atlanta, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, etc). This offense misses Fowler and Zobrist being on base a lot.
They have a great big goose egg with really only Alzolay (maybe) as the only prospect worth a spit since Theo has been here.

Dylan hasn't exactly set the world on fire with the Chisox either. Time will tell.

Is it OK to start tuning out all the hype and ballyhoo of all things "Billy Ball" after the A's were eliminated (again) by a maligned team with a patchwork pitching staff? They do wonders with their dollars, no question. But isn't the objective of all this to win? And by memory they haven't won spit. In the same time period that we were Moneyballed and Billy Balled into submission by the media, how many World Series did the Giants win? Hell even the Cubs have won more, and that is definitely saying something.

Kershaw 3.32 ERA, Glasnow 4.66 ERA (postseason) getting game 1 start's. Go Dodgers.

Blake Snell had NINE strikeouts in 5 innings when Kevin Cash made the worst managing decision of all time to pull this guy. Dodgers win the World Series. Woo!

Justin Turner was told he had Covid 19 in the 8th inning, and was removed from the field. After the Dodgers win, Turner returns to the field celebrating like nothing happened. WTF.

Hard to fault him wanting to celebrate, but it wasn't a good look. Would have been interesting if this was the NLCS, with another series to play and this happened, in terms of would the league have disciplined him and/or the team.

Snell said himself that this was his best outing so far. Unfortunately for the Rays, its not a one man show and the team that showed up won.
