I think you always take 5 over 15
Question is which undersized swedish Dman vs which undersized USHL F.

i feel like the hawks arent one player away their more like 4 or 5. closer to an accidental run than a rebuilt. i know im in minority here. but they just srent moving any of this core so may as well let them try to get lucky without moving anyone in particular.
nevermind stan has been medicore in the drafting column.

Dear lord Dahlstrom is truly awful defensively...and slow, too Maybe if he didn't have to turn to his right??

They are 6 players away on D alone But they've certainly got that #7 slot covered with multiple options. I thought Koekkok was rubbish. He doesn't really know what he's doing out there. Doesn't advance the play, just tries to survive. Without the puck he is still better than Forsling though. Forsling is a slower Jordan Hendry, and I do not miss him. Baby Carney is big and slow, and acts like he's small and simple. He gets rid of the puck quickly though, not having any delusions of making big plays. Seabrook plays with confidence, but just gets beat to pucks. I think he knows the right play, but just doesn't have the physical ability to execute anymore, so he ends up losing the puck too much. He does look for big plays, he wants to challenge forwards and he wants to score goals... but might actually be better served to play like Dahlstrom.

who would the hawks take at 5 that will be dramtically better than 15th ?draft this deep? Id rather see them miss the playoffs and have a lottery pick than make the playoffs and get ousted early. The difference between the Hawks and the upper echelon teams is pretty visible most nights. And of course if theyre not going to make the playoffs, the more balls theyve got in the lottery the better.

i just dont see any one player turning things around. i see them being closer to a miracle run than a couple key pieces from a rebuild. wishful thinking i guess.
