The 2009-10 Hawks would have completed the comeback.

Kane's got a pulse (Cat too)...Jonny is easily being removed from the puck. No other notable forwards. Seabrook/Maatta hasn't been noticeably bad. 'We' will die with KK, Gilbert in the lineup. Keith/Jonny better drink some panther piss, as they look like crap.

I see they fixed the D 38 SOG . Well Nylander scored. A boat load of home games coming up. Will that matter?

The 2009-10 Hawks would have completed the comeback. Also the 2013 Blackhawks.

After watching the highlights, Crawford and Keith were brutal. That wrap around goal allowed by Crawford was embarrassing. Other than the redirect off Koekkoek, Crow was simply beat on every goal. No screens or anything. That can happen maybe once a game but not 3 if you want to give your team a chance to win.

I hope Lehner can adjust to the appalling defense...that he wasn't a product of Trotz and his system...even though to a degree I know he was...because if he can't adjust...damn it could be an even longer year than anticipated.

Murphy + deHaan > KK + Gilbert (though I'm OK with Gilbert once he is given a bit more time), so there is definitely hope the blue line as an improvement over game 1. After 1 game, I don't see much difference in the Keith-Gustafsson pairing and that the latter does to Keith what Manning/Forsling did to Seabrook. Not saying either one of the vets is close to what they were, but hopefully JC will at least give them someone serviceable as a partner throughout the season.
Hopefully Dach can give them a look at #3 center between Saad and Kubalik. Kampf can defend, but he brings nothing as a setup center.

Kampf brings nothing besides giving useful players a breather. Dach should be in as soon as he’s able.

Yep Gilbert helped set up the first goal by handling the puck like it was a hand grenade with the pin pulled, and he wasn't even under pressure, and of course Corey could have baled him out but let in what was a stoppable shot.

The Gilbert play was actually very Boqvist like in terms of dekeing out the forechecker even though it was clearly unitentional. The issue was he panicked and tried to send Kampf a 3 foot bullet pass at his own blueline that Koper picked off and then preceded to beat a “hey, I lost my net” Crawford. Gilbert looks like a NHL player just needs to calm down which will come with time. No different than how Hawkdad was when he gave his first bj. Now, he’s an ace.

Damn right !
Regarding actual hockey, Gilbert and KKK make me want to see Murphy and Dehann back in a hurry.
