The NHL is now big fast players who are aggressive and skilled. We have zero of that. look how hard it is to move the puck against VGK. Sticks and legs everywhere. Don't need superstars. Just positioning skill and size.

They have Dach which is a Start.
They’ll need a real goalie soon...and they have done an awful job of drafting and growing their own. That needs to be addressed immediately.
Stan trading for guys that fit the bill of bigger and stronger scares me.

It's not just the player material. Colliton has failed to create a defensive system that works. Team D is worst in the league (well the Oilers exist but close to worst) and they can't help leaking goals and wide open looks.
You need forwards to work as hard as the defensemen do to prevent goals.

Agreed that the personnel doesn’t match the current flavor of the successful teams. The good news is that the Hawks will be ready to strike when it flips back to the style they are capable of playing.

It won't, unless Stan is successful in his lobbying to make the NHL a Competitive Jacks league.

The NHL is now big fast players who are aggressive and skilled. This bears repeating. It's not just the Knights who are well built and successful, last year the Cup final was Blues vs Bruins. Dangling finesse puck possession teams exit the first round. Passive, systems teams exit the second round.
