This could be super awful, but if Like gets them working hard and the Foil come in sleeping, it could at least be fun.
Probably not though.

Halfway mark of the season too! Only a half season to go!

Not sure the Oilers can stop Blackwell, but if they contain him to 2pts only, the Oil do have a fighting chance.

Too bad the Conor Bowl won't happen. Hawks could win but doubtful.

Too bad the Conor Bowl won't happen. Hawks could win but doubtful. Coilers are streaking. If it’s even a game it’ll be because of shit goaltending in the oiler nets. If their goalie plays ok, i think it will be very very ugly.

I think Hawks will stick close maybe the entire 1st.

Damn good effort. I like that all these guys play like it’s their last chance in the nhl.
Plus the pp looked…good? It was like they decided to do stuff instead of waiting for Connor to do it for them.
Good work. I don’t mind losses like that so much.

Oilers decided that stopping Blackwell was their best chance for victory.

Hawks way out shot their opponent. They should be given a mercy point for that rare feat.

Tinordi got beat so many times I lost count. Maybe his worst game.
Murphy has massive thighs (and a cute face) and he can move straight ahead one way quite fast, but he can't turn quick enough. Maybe less HGH and more agility training? Sad thing is, he's probably the best d-man on the team right now. Vlasic is still making some mistakes, but he'll get there, I hope.
Powerplay is terrible without a proper scoring threat. Raddysh can't hit the broadside of a barn. Kurashev and Reichel stickhandle into traffic instead of making plays. None of the blueliners act like they've ever ran a powerplay, incl. Vlasic.
Mrazek was fine. Kurashev is trash. Raddysh is trash. Stanford is meh. Megna, Pitlick, more of the same. Dickinson is team MVP again. What a season he is having. I can't hate him.
I was hoping for Blackwell to become the next #shawfacts, but he's nothing. The whole team is full of nothing. Ryan Donato on the top line describes this team to a tee. Everyone is worse than everyone on the other team. Difficult to win hockey games like this. When it does happen it's the result of a herculean effort and a career night for one of the many scrubs (Blackwell?).
That Draisaitl offside... I know it benefited the Hawks, but the whole fucking thing is stupid. Why do we have this review anyway? Because Matt Duchene once was YARDS into the offensive zone while receiving the puck?! You know what? The Duchene goal wasn't allowed because the linesmen didn't see him - they 110% absolutely did see him for sure. It was just deemed a backwards pass by the opposing team, thus you can't be offside. There's a chance even after review they would have allowed that one Duchene goal. But because of that one single play, and the outrage and the memes, the league had to start reviewing every offside with an ipad, taking back goals that really were scored by playing hockey and beating the other team.
I say, FUCK THE OFFSIDE CHALLENGE, let the linesmen do their job and shut all your mouths, and if you disagree you can fight me. The Oilers beat the Hawks on that play and it should have been a goal. And all similar plays throughout the years should be allowed too. The whole thing is a cancer.
I'm fine with reviewing if the puck crossed the goal line. Just don't review offsides, don't review if a skate went into the goal crease, and nobody never fucking even suggest reviewing holding/interference or whatever they do in the NFL. That's the end of the game. They have 4 (FOUR!) fucking officials on the ice. Play the game and shut up. The Hawks had a chance to prevent that goal - they just didn't. If it was a blatant offside that enabled the goal, well, the linesmen would have blown the play dead.

I agree about the offside rule, but it’s the whole replay thing that started it so making it go away will be difficult at best. It’s embarrassing anytime a goal is disallowed because of a millimeter at the blue line. Everyone knows it.
