If the hawks come out with the effort they’ve been showing lately they could very well win this game.
Not good for the race to the bottom but good for the team confidence that working hard pays off sometimes. Without the odd win the team will give up and be slaughtered every night instead of the hard working losses we have been seeing.
So let’s hope for a win this time.

Hawks score 1 lucky goal off Sharks D get out shot and go 9 rounds of a shootout for the win. I guess they are just blessed. Sharks got shutout by Sabres on Monday, lose here. How they doing?

The sharks are not only bad but snakebit (shark bit?) it would seem.
I fell asleep after two periods and missed the end. I don’t believe I missed much.

It was a shitty game with a shitty finish. Tie game in a game of the bottom-feeders.
The Sharks carried the play, especially in the third.
Level of play was kind of shit, as to be expected, but Mrazek was good, he was the MVP again. D was good. I guess it helped to play against a team as lame as the Sharks. Tinordi with a good fight - it was actually quite a decent scrap, at least by 2024 standards. Vlasic played well. Megna/Tinordi pair with a rare blunder that lead to the faceoff in the Hawks zone, and the Sharks scored of course.
Forwards were just awful. I don't understand what some of these guys are doing. Reichel is still not showing anything. But there were exceptions: Blackwell was everywhere. Got to love his effort. Guttman with a good retaliation to the Kurashev hit. That's something.
I think even Raddysh was good. I know I've critisized him. His problem isn't hockey IQ. He gets to the right places. Both offensively and defensively. I think he just can't get his shot off quick enough, or accurate enough. He should do what Sharp did and shoot 50 000 pucks next summer. He could really increase his goal total, with the chances he keeps getting.
He is still a slow skater and will never be elite, but you don't need to be fucking Pavel Bure to score some goals in this league.
But yeah, it was another episode of The Mrazek Show.

Was this Ryan Carpenter heritage night? As soon as I saw he was playing, I figured he'll score. Totally forgot about Ryan Carpenter. Good player.

Which teams need a goalie? Mrazek does have a 10 team NTC if I recall.
