PP still sucks. This team is so much different when they are allowed to play with speed. Hawks dictated play while they were forechecking hard, using their speed, and getting the D jumping up in the play... Typical Q shell in the third and Forsberg played great.
Big win, both for confidence, and in the "playoff picture". They will probably need a miracle though.
I am really liking the youth and speed up front(Hino not being in Chicago all season is criminal). Hawks need to figure out the defense. Sharp and Bouma can stay in the press box. Let the kids run with this. They are carrying this team right now.

That was a late cheap hit...ill take somebody trying to find a spark sticking up for a teammate...getting dummied w/o throwing a punch isnt ideal, tho... Yeah but that Watson is a big kid. Good on Wingels for trying. Nice win. Good of Forsberg to hold the fort after his fuckup. Nice to steal a win there. It's like the opposite of their last before and after break games. Hope they keep it going.

Forsberg is looking better with more work. All goalies need rhythm.
Wait, did the Hawks beat Nashville on the road? WTF?

Hawks got outplayed and skated into the ice but actually showed some fucking sack tonight and gutted one out on the road...solid win.
Gotta win in van, then 3 HUGE games after that...cal/cal/dal

More entertaining than I would’ve ever expected for a 2-1 Hawks-Preds game. Nice effort to start the post ASG stretch.

Good thing that ASG didn't break up all the momentum they had going.

I thought the Hawks were the better team through 2. They got worked in the third, but that's because they sat back trying to protect the lead and stopped attacking. Hawks did the exact opposite of what Dineen praised them for in the first two periods.

I only saw the ends of 1st and 2nd periods and they looked like they were playing hard great back and forth action. Good to have a backup goalie stand up and take the abuse in the 3rd period. Big win!

Are we back to being hopeful about this season?

Hopeful for what? An eighth place finish, and a better first round series after that?
I think the makeup of the team will take care of any playoff hopes they may have, but if the current crop they have plays their asses off trying to get there, I would be ok with that. Consistent effort. That's my hope. And the last two games are a good start.

Why us Hayden wasting away in the minors? Relying on these useless washed up vets to get them into the playoffs was a flop...let the kids, the future, play big minutes. They arent going to win jack shit, but it is invaluable experience, and this team is actually a little fun to watch when they play hungry

Stan is waiting on Crow to return around the TDL and then he can say he basically added a player that no one can get during this time of year.

He has 3G 5A in 9 games since being sent down, so it looks like he's playing well. I'm not sure what kind of minutes he's playing, though I assume he's getting top six minutes. The obvious move is Hayden up, Jurco down. But I'm not sure that line is going to get enough playing time to justify Hayden in Chicago. Agree 100% about them being fun to watch. Last night's game was entertaining. Even the third when Forsberg got shelled. They still had some good looks and were pushing the pace at times.

Hawks had the 1st 15 min and some of the 2nd...Otherwise they stayed pretty tight even when Nash was peppering Forsberg. Jurco sighting! Actually brought the puck out of the corner and got a shot off. Sadly, he hit the Pred crest right in the nosey.

Hawks are so small amd soft...really could use Hayden...he can also keep up...wouldnt he look better in Jurco's spot?
