It took exactly 2 posts for this topic to go off the rails. Pretty early to start focusing too much, since the hawks could finish just about anywhere in the top 15 picks. But Svechnikov and Merkley are 2 I hope they dont take. Svechnikov because the whole Russian thing and how they like to use the K to leverage their nhl business. Merkley because of a ton of red flags pertaining to attitude.

As much as the Hawks suck, none of the team below them in the standings are making up any ground. This is what being mediocre gets you. Fucking nowhere.

well the further they fall the better the lottery odds are. And most deserving shitty team doesnt always win the lottery.

Top 10 isn't good enough. They need top 5.

Top 10 isn't good enough. They need top 5. Not unpossible at their current trajectory, with a bit of luck in the lotto. If I get the lotto system as it currently stands. First time in a lot of years I feel like I should pay more than cursory attention to what the Hawks odds are to get the top pick and/or move up in the lotto. ( SPOILER: Edmonton will somehow get the first overall pick AGAIN, because it's a stud D man and they need one. lol...)

Hawks at 56 pts, Detroit-55, Florida-54, Montreal-51, Edmonton & Vandouche-50....ALL have game(s) in hand on Hawks.
7th should be happening soon, and if they keep this up, 4th is a real possibility(Please, God).

www.tankathon.com/nhl/pick_oddsThis site puts us at 21% odds of a top 3 pick. Watch us get #3 and have the equivalent of Cam Barker sitting there for us as the consensus guy. Maybe Stun has a horseshoe up his ass and we can land Dahlin which is the type of miracle we need to not wander in hockey purgatory for the next half of a decade. We're going to need a top pairing D on an entry level deal to offset Seabs abortion of a contract. Fire Q. Win lottery and draft Dahlin. Have Crow regain his health and be a competent NHL goalie (as opposed to what we've had w/o him). Have Jokiharju and Forsling continue to develop with one hopefully ending up a solid 2nd pairing guy. Move Anisimov and Hossa's contracts Trade for or sign for a good #3 center that can win a faceoff. Have Debrincat, Hartman, Schmaltz, Hayden, Hino, mein Kampf, et al all improve incrementally Find a winger that can go 20/20 on a reasonable rate that has some size and grit. OH...and fire Stun cause he could never pull off any of this list.

How much does Kampf need to improve in order to be an NHL level player? Forsling isn't one either.

Kampf...Jurco...Bouma...Sharp...fuck off...not NHL players
The entire Hawks D is a disaster.
They jave zero G depth...
This is not a one year fix, folks.
