Hawks still have a skill advantage against the Knights. But a team that doesn't play hard and give maximum effort all game has zero chance against a well-oiled machine like the Golden Knights.
Might be a rout if the Hawks show up hungover and go down a goal early in the game.
If someone fights Engelland, I'll be impressed. At this point that would mean more than 2pts.

This could be a massacre.
Never know, the Hawks could show up and make a game of it. Has to happen eventually.

Back to back after getting shelled by Phoenix? If this team doesn't at least compete, there are bigger problems than just the lack of talent on the roster.

Maybe if the Hawks take parts from Forsberg, Glass, and Berube and injection mold them into one goalie, they will at least be serviceable?

Here is the Hawks' problem.
Lost Hossa, Panarin, Hammer, and Crow (injured most of the season) and did not replace any of them at even 50 % effectiveness.
Stan Bowman is the #1 GM!

Seems, the only way Hawks win is if Vegas doesn't show up. Losing is an acquired skill the Hawks are mastering. Seabrook and his D compadres looked eerily like Cullisuck & Augroin. Mistakes, blown coverages, Huet-like inet performances, 6 men on the ice penalty....all the supressed gobblins of days past are re-emerging.
VegasInsider betting line:

Agreed but if I recall the vast majority of whatever board version we were on was Thrilled to get back Saad and was digging on Panarins faults. I liked getting Saad at the time but not for him.

Something broke in Saad whilst toiling in CBJ...That's my story. I didn't agree with tossing Panarin either. Not that it hurt the PP at all.
