Idiots. They not realize Duclair is on the Hawks? That sort of stuff defies logic, or thought, or anything like that, so I doubt they knew that.

Just like Habs fans booing the American anthem, when their two best forwards are both American (Galchenyuk & Pacioretty).

Of course you do. But I'll spell it out so you can try to tell me how insensitive I am If someone yelled hockey at me as a professional basketball player I wouldn't even care a little. If someone yelled something actually racist, instead of something stupid I'd be upset. I also wouldn't confront fans at my job. I'd let the team/ building handle it. I deal with similar issues once in a while at "work" and have confronted douche bags before over saying offensive stuff to women, or other ethnic minorities right to there face. (As a third party) or when they get out of line with my wife. Basketball would not be one I'd personally get confrontational about.

Wait, you are trying to compare telling a white person to play hockey to telling a black player to play basketball? Come on, man, you know that's bullshit. And telling a black person to get out of a predominantly white sport isn't "actually racist?" You think racist only comes in the form of the n-word? And I can't speak for this last point, but did the team/building only handle it BECAUSE Smith-Pelly confronted the fan? And it seems we have only made this a teaching point because Pelly made a point of it. You even said it yourself in Point C that it was good for the league to get out in front of this. Would seem that should imply that Pelly is in the right for calling a racist piece of shit out for being a racist piece of shit. But I suggest watching Pelly talk about it because you tell this black guy if he is allowed to be upset about it or not: He even says that he's heard it before and let it slide, but we're past the point these days to where we continue to let it be swept under the rug.

Ok I'll bite. So it's ok to make remarks to white people not blacks? Ok. What about asians? Indians to play cricket ? Lol. That's bullshit. Either it's all bad or it's not buddy.
Like I said if reverse happened to me or to a non descript player in NFL or NBA or cricket or soccer I'd be inclined to ignore it.
When the person chucked the banana peel in Europe at balotelli? Iirc that would be the line for myself. But just my opinion, I didn't suggest his opinion should be mine did I? If he wants to be upset more power to him.

This argument is dangerously close to the "why can't I say the n-word, but they can!" theory. Yes, if someone told you to start playing hockey instead of the basketball game, it wouldn't make any sense. You'd likely be more confused than anything else. I don't know, you're taking a weird stance. You acknowledge this is racist, but not actually racist. Then you mention the bit about bananas. Um, ok. If someone threw a block of cheese while I was on the ice, I wouldn't be mad. Is that how your argument works? But yes, there was a suggestion that he shouldn't be allowed to be angry about this when you laughed at the notion of it in point B. It's always great when white people try to dictate what racism black people are allowed to be bothered by. Even better when they throw in their own flimsy comparisons on top of it. Almost as if you wouldn't be bothered by any of it because you don't have to face nearly the amount of shit black people do.

The idiots should have just called him Monday, to disguise it better like Colton Teubert:

I've been surprised to hear how many people didn't know that one was a racial slur. Teubert has been handling that very poorly too. I believe him that he didn't know initially. But he seems stuck on wanting to continue using it despite people telling him otherwise.

You don't accidentally comment on a guy's issues with PK Subban by saying "don't let Monday get to you"... on a Saturday. He even tagged Gallagher.

I thought I heard somewhere that during a WJC's, someone gave Subban that "nickname." It's possible Teubert didn't know what the name meant?
As I type this out I realize I really probably shouldn't be giving him any benefit of the doubt.
