I really am sorry you arent smart enough to understand the whole concept of putting himself in the spotlight, ahead of his team...but keep on keeping on... Nobody gives a fuck what he said on the ice...people do care that he kept it going after thette game, off the ice and through the media...hence his own team censuring him. Sometimes it's hard to let go.

Yes. It's a league-wide culture problem. People having fun is not allowed. I certainly do expect team management, which is fully indoctrinated in this line of thinking, would have an issue with a player breaking the mold. I doubt his teammates cared much at all.

I like Subban for the "Roenick-factor". He is entertaining.
However I hate him for the "Crosby-factor", ie. he is really good. Crosby is so good it's almost obnoxious. He can even defend. However, Crosby I can tolerate if I really try because he is a robot. But Subban is good and he knows it. I was kind of half-entertained by him at first. And then he wrecks Toews and scores the OT game-winner against the Hawks. Not cool. Worse than Crosby, definitely. Crosby would downplay it. Make you think it never happened, and everything magical he just did is actually super-boring.
Do the crowds boo Subban more than Crosby? That's not a bad thing. It gets people involved. That's how hockey used to be like. Star players were assholes, just like all the other assholes. And home crowds loved to boo them.
Crosby is too perfect. Too corporate. Too Bettman.
But I am still personally allowed to hate Subban. Because I like to hate a player on the opposing team. It's entertainment, that's what hockey is.

No issues at all with that post. I feel like it relates more to what I'm trying to say.
As you said, Crosby is too perfect, corporate, Bettman. He's fucking boring. Great talent on the ice, but man.... Is he even alive?
Subban brings invested fan interest whether its in favor or against him. Either way is a good thing from a league perspective.
