Said it earlier but if Cubs lost the division it was their fault regardless of how well the Brewers played. All the Cubs had to do was win 1 more game all season and it's theirs. I mean they go swept by the Reds in early September which was embarrassing. Regardless, this team was going nowhere in the postseason as will the entire NL (Houston or Boston will be champs). Just way too many passengers on this roster. Offense went totally dormant in the 2nd half of the season with supposedly so many good/great hitters (Heyward notwithstanding). Pitching did its job even with Darvish, Morrow, and Chatwood being non-factors during the season (Morrow half the season).
I think Theo is starting to figure out what Cub lore is all about now. Underachieve and wonder what happened. People will bag on Maddon and Davis but what else was there to do with the hitting? I'm not even sure the players could hit off a tee. Maybe Russell could if his ex-wife's photo was on the baseball.
Nonetheless, lots of changes should happen this offseason. I don't necessarily agree with Maddon being a lame-duck manager. Extend him or move on.

Wasting $ on Darvish truly cost them. I'd like to see what Theo could do in a small market town like Oakland or Tampax. He's always had deep pockets to play with. Always easier to spend someone else's money.

Outside of the Martinez homer in the 1st of Game 1 it’s been all Yanks. Lining up for an ALCS rematch and a great series.
Dodgers Brewers in the NL has potential to be great, but can’t see either of them taking down the AL winner.

Is there something against scoring runs against the Brewers? I mean they don't have great pitching at all.

11 straight in Sept/Oct is pretty damn impressive by the Brewers.

As long as I get to see the sausage race, I can live with the Brewers in the postseason. Mmmmmhmmmm, sausages...

Can't see anyone beating The Astros. Awesome starters and a team full of clutch hitters.
