Kershaw also added to his dismal postseason record during this series. Great regular season pitcher but never shows up when it matters.

Maybe if the Dodgers spend another billion on player salaries they can win a World Series?

There wasn't a NL team that was gonnna beat the Red Sox or Astros and that includes the Cubs. Glad the Cubs didn't make it all the way to lose. Scoring 1 run over 21 innings of playoff baseball would be far easier to stomach in my opinion. Wait a minute...

Kershaw say's he's not sure if he will opt out of his last year. If he does, he will get paid 32 mil in 2019, and 33 mil in 2020.
He can go to free agency. Someone will pay him. Shit, Stan may sign him.

Mets hire the agent who's clients include some of their biggest stars, including Degrom and Cespedes to be their new GM. Guess they are hoping for hometown discounts.
Maybe Rocky should have fired Stan & gotten Kane & Toews's agent to be the GM to save some money on their recent deal...

Kershaw stays in L.A., and gets 93mil for 3 years.
He certainly has a HOF career, but he's probably not worth 31 mil a season with his age and a bad back. Leadership, workload, blah blah blah...
Staying put is bittersweet. And Im his biggest fan.

After yet more epic playoff fail, I am amazed LA coughed up that much...nobody else would have.

Lester is a better pitcher than Kershaw regardless of what regular season accolades Clayton can hang his hat on. Jonny boy just has too much of a track record when it matters.

Is there scuttlebutt on why Hickey left the Cubs after one year? The signs are obviously there for Maddon to be finished in Chicago after the current season - we'll see. Not a Maddon hater, but I would not mind seeing Girardi as Cubs coach.
