156 left. Team still an absolute dumpster fire heading into Milwaukee. 1-8 by what should be a very ugly home opener.

Even really early they are digging a hole that could get hard to climb out of.

All teams have a slump or funk during the year. Hopefully they are getting theirs out of the way early on.

Theo's offseason moves the last two years are making Stan Bowman look almost acceptable.

Theo's offseason moves the last two years are making Stan Bowman look almost acceptable. Ricketts is punishing Theo for Chatwalk & Darvonn signings.

All ye of little faith. Relax, have a sandwich. Our boys are coming out of there gate a tad slow. No need to panic. It's not like The Germans are coming...

The Cubs aren't as bad as they are right now, but they are clearly not good enough to win a World Series either. That window has closed. Too many ineffective dollars tied up in Darvish, Chatwood, and Heyward. That's 50 million tied up in absolute shit. Nice job, Theo.
The right play is to start shopping Bryant who will want Harper money at the minimum. Time to start reloading with young, cheap players. Maybe learn how to develop some pitching from within this time?

They brought back literally the entire team that choked away a 5 game lead in September last year before losing back to back one-game playoffs at Wrigley.
Change was needed within that clubhouse and there did absolutely nothing.
I get the Rickett$ not wanting to let Theo spend after his numerous FA abortions, but if that’s the case then get creative with one of these overrated young position players and pull the trigger on a trade for some type of pitching.
Edwards Jr, Montgomery, Chatwood, Kintzler. No wonder this bullpen is an absolute tire fire.

Well, we can't be as good as the White Sox at this point, that's understandable. But September is a long way off. And remember, they have Ricky Renteria, we have Joe Maddon.

The Sox will absolutely be the better and more interesting team going forward. Much more winnable division as well.

Seems like the GMs in Chicago have no clue how to manage a team. You never have a lame duck coach when your window to win is now. They should have moved on from Maddon after last year. Hawks never had a window but they wasted an entire season on letting Q start the season for no reason at all.
