Azolay is going to be more than a bullpen arm eventually. Or maybe sooner if the Cubs starters keep falling like flies.
60 is the new 40. Without blue pills!

"as good" is completely subjective. I'd take Pearl Jam, Guns N Roses, Tool or Metallica over Zep any day. Lots of other bands that I enjoy too.

A case in point my frustration with Maddon and his substitution road map (if there actually is one):
Jason Heyward in the previous three games to yesterday, went 3-4, 3-4 and 2-4. Granted, a left hander is throwing so Heyward sits. The Cubs score two runs. Heyward plays today, goes 2-4 with three RBIs.
Does it serve the team to be subbing guys in and out instead of riding the hot hitter while they're hot?
And Schwarber continues to bat leadoff with two strikeouts per game.
Kimbrel will help, and the division up and down has pitching issues, but it just seems like this is a missed opportunity brewing again on the North Side.

They can’t continue with the team as is the rest of this year if they seriously want to win another WS.
I’m all in favor of a shake up trade, the team is way too complacent and the only reason they’re in first cause the rest of the division is just as bad. They cannot compete in a playoff series opening in Atlanta and eventually LA as currently constructed.
I’m starting to warm to the idea of trading Bryant if he seriously thinks he’s worth $200M+, and that’s likely the case with Boras as his agent. He was great in 2015-16 but has trended downwards ever since.

Yesterday notwithstanding, a very good start to the second half. The bullpen needs work, but they have enough to be very competitive. And the division is pretty much garbage - as weak as they've been at times, the Cubs have the best pitching staff save for maybe the Reds.
Had a chance to see Gleybar Torres play in person vs the Rockies in NYC. I have to wonder if the Cubbies had the oppportunity to allow that Chapman trade player to be Schwarber instead of Torres. Brilliant move by Cashman who had to know Chapman was coming back. Still it was worth it for the World Series win, which would not have happened sans Chapman.

Cubs also linked to Nic Castellanos from the Tigers, which is a necessary add at this point to get Almora out of the lineup and put Heyward in center while adding a quality bat.
From there they need to either fix the pen or add another top of the lineup bat at 2B (Sogard?).
Probably shouldn’t be relied on, but Morrow has been throwing live BP for a while now and could really be a solid add if he’s able to come back somewhat near what he used to be.

Morrow will be a big add if he is healthy. He pushes Strop and Cishek up one inning and improves the situation...if healthy.
Concern that Castellanos will be too expensive in terms of return asked.
I have no idea how much they'd have to give up, but I'd make an inquiry on Villar in Baltimore to help at 2B. Not sure how good he is defensively, but more of a threat on the bases would be helpful.
Though with Morrow and probably Zobrist, they may not feel the need to do anything.

They can’t stand pat if they want to seriously compete this year.
They have two offensive black holes right now in CF and 2B. Almora cannot possibly be counted on in a playoff series and I’ve seen more than enough of Russell and Bote this year. Garcia has been a nice shot in the arm but he can’t be in a playoff lineup either.

If they don't do anything, you can be sure those 2 must be coming back
