It was only a matter of time, that record was not sustainable and its the same hitters making the same mistakes as the last few years.

A big home run by Bote turns the season tide again. Darvish is money right now. And maybe Wick is the guy in the pen. Always love to see them beat St. Louis...

Wait, are we talking about the Cubs or Lari’s chin?

The thing about Darvish and his many pitches, if he is on, the hitters are almost forced to guess on every pitch.
Also, I think "build the pitch count" is a strategy across the league, and especially against teams that have question marks in the bullpen - which would include just about everyone except maybe the Yankees.

Wait, are we talking about the Cubs or Lari’s chin? Why am I mentioned in a baseball thread? Shouldn't you be out hunting FILF's?

Lol...he's done. Were they playing in San Fran? Lol, no Kansas City, which apparently Thom thinks is rife with gays.

Kansas City might get a boost in tourism.

Theo and the front office have made some hugely unwise pitching investments, but I think you can now say that giving that contract to Darvish and not Arrieta was the right move back in the day. Where would the staff be today without Darvish? Answer, about like the Pirates.

Also, is it too early to start comparing the Quintana trade to the trade of Lou Brock? Chapman for Torres brought the Cubs a World Series. Quintana wasn't very good to begin with on a crappy team.

Mills with a no-no. Having said that, the Cubs are just a boring team presently. Probably good enough to win the division but not going to go anywhere in the playoffs. It’s like the Tribune Company bought back the team.
