I wonder if not moving Schwarber out after 2015 or 2016 (could they have dealt him instead of Torres for the Chapman rental) winds up being one of Theo's biggest blunders as GM. Now he will likely go for nothing. They may still re-sign him, but I personally will not miss him in left field. I will miss his mammoth home runs. His destiny is at DH.

Theo also botched the Almora draft pick pretty badly. Go figure he gave up on Torres and Eloy and kept the rest.

Schwarber hit .188 last year. I think the Cubs will entertain bringing him back, but at far less than what he would get in arbitration. Almora will be lucky to find a minor league deal somewhere.

I was never a big fan of Len, but him leaving and being replaced by a corporate head from Fox Sports is a bad look.
Assclown Ricketts family have done a great job of destroying any goodwill built up since the WS.

Radio would be perfect for Gary when you have a face only a mother could love.

Probably Contreras would yield the biggest return, but since they dealt Caratini, not sure they will deal both right now.
Based on the current lay of the land, Bryant becomes the starting left fielder until he is dealt, right?
Not sure how excited I am that they have Davies in the package back. He is Kyle Hendrix light. Either really on or really not, and in Wrigley, there isn't much margin for error.

It was a pure salary dump trade and they apparently still are eating some of Darvish’s salary going forward. Looks like the penny pinching Ricketts will be acting like a small market team for the foreseeable future.

Does sound like Contreras is being actively shopped. Return would have to pretty damn good.

He’s always been an enigma and the likelihood he gets injured is pretty high.
