Can somebody just fix the title to "The Cubs suck"? I think it's time. Fits better with the overall theme too. What is the overall theme? That many of you homos that post here suck the big D? International jewish-maso-gay dating / bug chasing forum, duh. EDIT: and only for the experienced ones. If you're level 1-299, don't bother, noob.

When the Cubs can beat a good starting pitcher, we can start to be interested again. They have looked like the late 70s Cubs hitting against Anderson and Woodruff in two of the last three games. No real team speed. Few contact hitters. It is a strikeout pitchers dream.

Maybe Ross should look into this. Cubs’ pitchers got lit up for 5 HR last night whereas the Cubs’ hitters tossed a shutout. Maybe try the pitchers as the hitters and see what happens?

A lethal combination of shit pitching and hitting. Rizzo probably throws harder than half of this weak tossing starting staff.
Poor man Ricketts won’t be reaching into his pockets anytime soon, unless his buddy Donald runs for office again!

Unless Jed was not involved in free agent signings at all since 2016, I’m not sure Ricketts or anyone else should give him a blank check on any free agents. Most of the Cub moves since the World Series have been subtraction by addition. Even for the guys who eventually produced it was one year out of three. Not going to win with that track record.

I was in LF bleachers that day up in Milwaukee. I don’t think that one will ever be blocked out lol

With the Cub offensive guns appearing to wake up and with way more consistency out of the bullpen than expected, Jed is going to have a real challenge with the free agents. The right move is probably to deal them for as much as they can pull back (would you want to deal with Scott Boras?), but the more they can secure for a Bryant because of his big offensive year, the more backlash from the fan base.
It only took four years for the Cub hitters to figure out that the best way to beat the shift is start taking the ball the other way. Who knew?

They would be stupid to sign any of them to contract extensions.
