Over/under on whether the Cubs will have more losses than the White Sox have wins? The Cubbies could be really, really bad this year. Only being in the Central division will save them from 100 losses IMO. And it really doesn't make sense to sign a whole bunch of free agents. Way too many holes to fill, starting with the pitching staff. Goin for that Top draft pick, baby.

The Cubs are stocking up draft picks and allegedly rebuilding, but pay $10 million plus for a player out of the Japanese league who is already 27.
Given the Cubs track record on these kinds of moves, it is a bit of a head scratcher. This may mean they really bite the bullet and buy out Jason Heyward

Multiple batting champ, plays infield/outfield. Hope he's more Ichiro than Iguchi. Not holding my breath. Can't believe anyone would take Heyward .

They say he has a different approach at the plate than most hitters. He sees the game in a different way.

Kimbrel for Pollock. Nice work there Rick Hahn. Likey. Kimbrel just needs to close only, I think he gets back to his solid form in LA, he's the guy there now. I'm a big believer in the Steve Stone theory on closers. Leave them in that role only. They are not the same when being used for set-up work. No 7th/8th inning stuff for them period. Get to the playoffs first before you start trying to get more than 3 outs from them. Pollock will make the lineup even better, he can play the OF just fine. Now if the Cubs will just give us Madrigal back, all is well. Kimbrel didn't work out so fair is fair.

A pollock on the south side? Who knew? Nice ! I like it. We already know that all of the beautiful people in Chicago live South of Madison anyways, the real lookers are Bridgeport born and raised.

If I needed a lady with a glass eye and hoofed feet, Bridgeport was the place.

Not a bad trade for the Sox, helps lengthen the bottom half of that lineup. Kimbrel never adjusted after the trade.
