White Sox won a game? Tony probably was hitting the bottle harder than usual.

Figured out this White Sox bunch I think. They are still plenty good and will eventually pull ahead of the shit Twins and Indians. They will hit plenty and pitch well enough to get to the playoffs. But it ends there if the roster is the same then as it is now. Watched them when they have everybody around and injury free, and of course when they aren't, and there's been plenty of that. They have to many flaws to be able to GET to the ALCS and beyond. Hitting wise, it's mostly long ball or nothing. Won't work pitch counts, can't and won't first and third the other team either. Won't take walks, won't sacrifice, won't hit behind the runner when they have guys on bases, won't steal bases (other than Robert) so it's wait for the home run so the scoreboard can explode. Yeah.
Their team defense is either the worst in the game, or at least the worst in the AL. Guys can't consistently make the routine play, never mind the highlight one, outside of Robert. To many half assed throws (Anderson) to many missed cut off guys, they just suck at the basics. Doesn't help that they have dh's playing the outfield corner positions almost every game. The pitching is still the best part of the team, so they are always going to be competitive, but even that group has taken a step backwards from last year.
And it doesn't help that the manager should be taking naps at home every day, and not when he's at the park with the uniform on. LaRussa in his prime was a damn good in game manager. Now, he makes decisions with personnel that make me think he's Terry Bevington. Other than all that, things are just swell.

Sox have always been weak on D. Shoulda kept Madrigal and play Pollack more.

Sox are epitome of Chicago teams right now. Not good enough not bad enough. Just will muddle through the next 5 years and wonder what to do next.

Sox have always been weak on D. Shoulda kept Madrigal and play Pollack more. That's what happens when defense is just an afterthought, like everyone can play it right ? As for Madrigal, we knew that past last years playoffs it was gonna be painful to be watching him in another uniform. The dice was rolled on Kimbrel at the time and I'm one who was for the trade when it happened. Kimbrel couldn't have been more dominant at the time and then...he lost it. Pollack is a pro, he's gonna be fine. As long as TLR doesn't go Joe Biden on us he should be in the lineup every day.

Madrigal has been brutal as a Cub. Understand that he missed most of last year and likely needs some time, but now he has back tightness. Does he have the same doctors as Teven Jenkins?

Angel's fire Joe Maddon. Was once considered the hottest thing going. Angel's can't ever get their act together.
Joe Girardi whacked by Phillies last week. Too old school for today's players they said. Hmmm?

Angels are just a mismatched bunch, even Joe couldn't fix that. As far as too old managers, Tony LaRussa...
