Absolute clown shoes. For the most part, nothing on the ice but 4th liner/AHL'er & once were's ... nothing in the pipeline. Bad management.
Most glaring proof of the teams fall is the persistent failure of the PP unit(s)...30th in the NHL. Bad coaching.
Stun FAIL. Q FAIL.

Let's look at the positive. This year and where it's going to end up HAS to mean Q and Stun are gone, right?

DeBrincat, Schmaltz, Saad, Yogikarhu are not the future. At least not the future of a team wanting to win hockey games.
And we all know Toews, Kane, Keith and the old core aren't going to keep up with the other teams' top guys much longer. In fact, they've already stopped keeping up.

Schmaltz do all his meaningless stick handling elsewhere, but I'd keep the other 3. Joker will be good.

I'm not that upset that the Hawks blow. A 8-10 year run is as long as one can expect. The problem is that the FO is making moves like they are a contender still that is only going to prolong the losing. Trading away guys like Saad, Panarin, and Hammer and they don't get anything to build with just guys already making a ton of money that aren't more than depth pieces on a good team anyway. The same guys on a bad team become albatrosses.
Hawks need 1st round picks and prospects and time. Time for the picks and prospects to float to the top or sink to the bottom and time for current contracts to fade away into the abyss.
With the way the Hawks' FO is acting right now, you have to wonder how they even won 3 Cups in the first place. Must have been dumb luck.

Bowman had next to nothing to do with winning 3 cups...it becomes more evident each day

Bowman had next to nothing to do with winning 3 cups...it becomes more evident each day I think the only thing you can credit Stan for was taking advantage of Kane going down just before the TDL knowing that there is no salary cap in the playoffs. Nonetheless, Q had Vermette playing wing at some point so I don't even know how the United Center hasn't collapsed on itself by now.

Turning over the coaching staff is easy, and a no-brainer at this point. Turning over the roster is much more difficult. You have to jettison this staff and see what the roster does with a new voice and system for a season. It is the only play. They should have been canned after two first round exits and missing the playoffs, but I'm guessing McDonough got in the way of that(from what I have heard he is terrified of Q).
The offseason signings were obviously Q moves. The rope to hang yourself, so to speak. Just look at his usage of Manning and Kunitz for all the proof you need.

Wow, I didn't think they would tank this early but it's a replay of last season. I'm off the bandwagon and I was probably one of the last believers on this site. How Q has a job is puzzling.

Yes, but the time for mapping out a new system, and implementing strategies is in the off season no? Savard was the only guy in my memory who got axe'd this early, and frankly, he overstayed from the previous season. Much like Q.

Whatever it is, they're buying it. Bring um up.

A million dollars to the first person who can identify whatever system it is that Q is using...
How has he become so hopelessly clueless
