What with all this making the playoffs and stuff, I actually forgot how terrible this team is on paper.
Actually, not just on paper. Top line is probably among the weakest in the league, second line has Al Nylander on it, and the third line is actually not that bad all things considered. Fourth line is rubbish, but at least Carpenter can kill penalties.
If De Haan is healthy that 2nd pair is semi-okay, but all the other pairs are awful. Duncan "Over the Hill" Keith & Prince Adam are going to get rocked if they play McDavid and/or Draisaitl, and somehow Maatta/Koekkoek sounds even worse than the Maatta/Seabrook pair we saw early on in the season.

"Unfit to play"? Hung over?
If Crow's not ready and well when the games start, Hawks have no chance. I mean, Collin Delia & Malcolm Subban... that's not even fair. Who else? Kevin Lankinen? Scott Foster? It has to be Crow. Goaltending is the only area the Hawks could potentially have the edge, and that is a game-changing position to have an edge in.

Assuming the wishful thinking that the three surgeries for Seabrook and one for deHaan could put them both in a top 4 scenario again for the 20-21 (or do we just call it 21) season, there is no way I'd have #7 or probably even deHaan playing in the playoffs without Crawford. May as well give the kids the experience. Unless Edmonton doesn't come to play, this will be a one and done.
Corey not being ready to play also makes the decision easier about a contract for next year. No chance, especially with the new cap limitations. Thank you for the memories - best of luck.

What the heck does unfit to play mean?? Injury ? Concussion? In rehab or something ? Someone close to him have covid?

Maybe Corey himself has covid. They won't tell us until after the fact if he does.
I'm not kidding when I say I want the 12.5 percent shot at lafreniere instead of a second playoff round. It only takes a glance at that roster to reinforce the idea to me.

Pretty sure Crow already decided to retire based on his contract expiring and the season’s conclusion much in doubt. Probably nothing officially wrong other than he didn’t train and is not anywhere near hockey shape.
