..Clean out Jim's Candy Van without wearing a hazmat suit...
Sabres are a glorified AHL team, can't score, piss poor goaltending. This will be rock bottom if they lose here.

I think losing this alone wouldn't be the tipping point, but lose this and then again against Arizona (god forbid) probably gets the ball rolling on some serious changes.
That could mean a different kind of hot dog being sold at the UC, but SOMETHING will happen.

Rocky will dilute the beer with a little more water and raise prices.

Honestly I hope they keep losing. Might be the only way we see a coaching change before they miss the playoffs.

This really doesn't seem like a group that should be missing the playoffs. Would be quite a failure if it comes to that.
Not that they are a juggernaut or anything, but in the NHL, you have to be particularly bad to not make the playoffs. Mediocrity is all it takes to make it in.

Honestly I hope they keep losing. Might be the only way we see a coaching change before they miss the playoffs. I believe they miss the playoffs with or without Q. Seems to be a real possibility. A less conventional way to look at their chances to make the playoffs....are there seven (7) teams in the West worse than the Blackhawks? Ari, Edm & Col perhaps are locks....who are the others? Hard to identify with any certainty. For the Hawks to have a chance to get to the playoff promised land, with the talent level on the team at this time, they definitely need up their PP game (now at 29th of 31). They also need to win the close ones....having left too many points on the table. Sadly, nothing in their play lately suggests that the Hawks will be successful. Not that it matters all that much in the end....they will get killed in the playoffs. Just trap the Hawks, clog the neutral zone & put a body on the Hawks midgets every time they touch the puck....and off it's to the golf course in very short order. The Hawks have yet to display a 'killer instinct' or a willingness to dominate the area in front of the opposing goalie they'd need to advance. They are just not very hard to play against.

That is an insightful post...not very hard to play against...that's it, exactly.
And I would add, that that any team that makes the game hard to play, has success against them.

And funny enough that's always been the most successful way to play against them even when they were really good. Back then they could fight through it on talent alone. Not now though.
