Stunley should call the Rags and see if they will move Brendan Smith who they just waived for Seabs. Stanley Cup winner/leadership for a free agent bust. I would rather pay a 3rd pairing D 4.35 X 3 years then a 3rd paring D 6.875 for 6 more years. Our luck Stunley will bring back "shutdown" 3.083 4th line center Kruger that Carolina just waived.

Does AA have a NMC? I can't remember. But of course he does because....Stunley. If you are going to extend a guy you just traded for that has never played a shift with your team to an overpayment, then why not throw in a no movement. Capfriendly lists him as full no trade until next season where he can submit a list of 10 teams he can be traded to. I would imagine if you found a decent destination and had a heart to heart with him that Schmaltz is centering Kane and comrade you will be #3 center, he might be receptive to moving on.

Bringing back Hawks he moved in the past few years wouldn't surprise me, honestly.
I can't see any team short of Arizona or maybe Florida that would take Seabs and even those GMs would have the good sense to rape Stanley in the process by demanding he take back shit and give up something half decent on top of it.
Even Dale wouldn't use lube making this move.

Never doubt Unkie Dale. He makes Stan look downright crafty when it comes to trades.

NMC through this year...modified next year...none for the final 2 years

and as far as Schmaltz goes...him producing points playing with Kane isnt really news...or a huge accomplishment...pretty much any middle-of the-road player can do that...see Anisimiov...

AA is the obvious one to me. And he probably has value around the league.

Centers have absurd value at the TDL. We gave the Yotes Dahlbeck and a first so Q could scratch him and TT after a strong game and so he could play wing when we were short a legit center.
Can we trade Q at the TDL for a pick and an assistant coach that has a clue of how to run a PP? Who'll ever forget the Qenius of having two lefties in Keith and Hossa on the point of a PP where you completely eliminate the threat of Keith being able to one time a pass?

You must have missed the game where Q iced a PP unit consisting of all left handed shots. All 5 guys.

That's on Dineen. He draws up the PP.
Q runs the 5-on-5.
I remember Haviland ran a successful powerplay.
