There is no evidence that masks do anything. They are likely causing the infection spread since people are touching their face more frequently and wearing them improperly in the first place. That doesn't even make fucking sense.

The response to the virus just doesn't make sense. What aren't they telling us? That's what I want to know.

Texas State Health Department Corrects Death Toll After Mistakenly Attributing 225 Deaths to COVID-19
A problem with the prior method was that when filing death certificates, hospitals were incentivized to overstate the number of COVID-19 deaths due to receiving monetary compensation for doing so, something that Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-Mo.) called a “perverse incentive,” according to a House hearing that took place on Friday. U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield said during the panel hearing that he agrees this over-reporting of COVID-19 deaths does exist in hospitals and is something that has been seen with other viruses, such as HIV. “In the HIV epidemic, somebody may have a heart attack but also have HIV—the hospital would prefer the [classification] for HIV because there’s greater reimbursement, so I do think there’s some reality to that,” said Redfield.

No doubt there is some over-reporting of cases/deaths, but saying that there’s “only” 100K dead vs 150K isn’t a winning argument.

Are you retarded? I honestly thought you were just trolling as I read through your word salad posts. But apparently you actually believe the bullshit you and dear leader spew. The US is the embarrassment if the entire world when it comes to COVID...and the orange buffoon in charge is the single biggest reason why. His criminal stupidity enables people just like you to spread misinformation along with the disease. Tell you what...next time you need surgery tell the entire ER staff not go bother wearing their masks, becsuse they do not do anything. As for Fauci, he is the pre-eminent expert in his field. He haa served the last EIGHT administrations, with distinction. It is no accident Trump is the first POTUS to publicly question him. But why listen to people like Fauci when you have experts like Dr Stella and Jared Kushner to rely on?

The mask can stop droplets but if you’re not wearing it properly that’s not going to help. At the same time, people are unnecessarily touching their face to adjust their mask. I don’t care if people are spreading droplets everywhere. I’d rather not have the urge to touch my face because my mask needs to be adjusted or it’s irritating. Is it possible for one person to be so consistently wrong on every single discussion point? How fucking stupid do you have to be to wear a mask improperly?? I mean, come on. And the odds of getting it by touching your face are minuscule. Unless you are picking your nose, and eating it, with the same finger you just dipped in an infected person's loogie, you arent very likely to catch it...its all about the viral load and time of exposure.

And the odds of getting it by touching your face are minuscule. Unless you are picking your nose, and eating it, with the same finger you just dipped in an infected person's loogie, you arent very likely to catch it...its all about the viral load and time of exposure. What do you means the odds of getting an infection by touching your face are minuscule? That's the path of least resistance. By wearing masks improperly, it's healthy people showing no signs of symptons are re-using the same masks without properly sanitizing them or thinking that surgical masks are more than one-time use. Surgical masks are worn in sterile environments in the first place. You really think wearing the same mask over a few days in a non-sterile environment is going to be healthy? My wife works at Mercy downtown in the ER as an attending. She says the masks are making things worse for the average person. In a hospital setting, those masks are being worn for minutes at a time and then disposed. In surgeries, you have the most pristine and sterile environment. Best course of action to avoid infection is to wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face. I used N95 masks at work and we use them no more than 1 hr then get a new one and we never re-use. The neoprene or cloth reusable masks are possibly the worst case scenario. For the public, they should not wear facemasks unless they are sick, and if a healthcare worker advised them. "For the average member of the public walking down a street, it is not a good idea," Dr. Harries said. "What tends to happen is people will have one mask. They won't wear it all the time, they will take it off when they get home, they will put it down on a surface they haven't cleaned," she added. Further, she added that behavioral issues could adversely put themselves at more risk of getting the infection. For instance, people go out and don't wash their hands, they touch parts of the mask or their face, and they get infected. Masks are recommended for those showing symptoms of a disease, if they are sick, or they have tested positive for COVID-19 since these are designed to prevent the virus from coming out. Reusing masks may increase your risk of coronavirus infection

If someone is found dead, they go right to the morgue not the hospital.

Deaths are actually being under-reported currently, with so many people dying, MEs are facing a huge backlog of diagnoses. In the end, the mortality rate will be quite low. It was over 10 % at the beginning and now it's around 2-3 %, and this includes all the mislabeled deaths. The infection is running through the low risk population now so the number of cases will increase and the deaths are stabilizing even declining in some places. Those places that instituted lockdowns did themselves no favors as the virus will still infect most of the population. The only thing it did was buy them time to better prepare the hospitals for triage and treatment. Even then, none of the models that predicted doom were even remotely close. Many make shift hospitals sat empty believe it or not.

No doubt there is some over-reporting of cases/deaths, but saying that there’s “only” 100K dead vs 150K isn’t a winning argument. Not trying to win any argument. Pre-COVID around 8k people die everyday in the US. Where do you draw the line as far as shutting down your economy?

But why listen to people like Fauci when you have experts like Dr Stella and Jared Kushner to rely on? You prove my point. He has served the last 8 administrations. He's a bureaucrat not an expert on anything. Trust the doctors on the ground not the clown that just said people should wear googles in public now. He's even pushing unproven and untested vaccines on the public. That's bad policy and dangerous. Trump has made mistakes but really the virus mismanagement should be laid at the feet of the governors and mayors of the big cities. This is a situation where the Federal Government really can't provide anything more than money. Each State and city is too different that a one-size fits all approach would make things even worse. It's up to the governors and mayors to manage their localities and decide the best course based on the situation on the ground. Most of them have done a pretty poor job. For example, Cuomo in NY sent infected nursing home patients back to their nursing homes. How many people is he responsible for killing because of that decision?

It would have been difficult for any President to tackle this virus in any way close to perfect. Uncharted territory is an understatement. The same goes for the governors.
But sorry, POTUS has been an embarrassment during this process - and that takes into account the fact that he is right that we can't continue with a shut down economy in perpetuity. He is counting on a large portion of his base to do what they've done since day 1 - not hold him accountable for anything. If anyone was paying attention during February and March and especially when he took it upon himself to give "briefings," he went from being caught in an impossible situation to becoming a facilitator. Fauci hasn't been perfect, but it is typical Trump that Fauci now is the focus of the blame.
You can surely point to some of the Governors too - it hasn't been pretty. But please, stop with the number of flu deaths per year. Whether it is 100,000 or 150,000 or 200,000, that death count has happened in basically four months, because there is no vaccine and the docs are learning as they go. Once there is medicine to treat it and/or prevent it, it becomes another flu. It is far from the regular flu now.
If you are undecided on this, all you need to do is think for a few moments about the decision to hold that rally in Tulsa (indoors) at that time given what was clearly brewing. Case closed.
